Default y7 throttle body on y8 manifold

I've heard that I can use my y7 throttle body on a y8 intake manifold, is this true? What do I need to modify to do this? TIA.

u can use it. if u have a y8 auto manifold u don't have to mess with anything. if its a 5spd y8 manny u either have to leave the iac bolted up to the manny or plug up the holes for it.

They're exactly the same except for the position of the bracket that connects the throttle cable to the TB.

You'll need a throttle cable bracket/spring (attached to the butterfly on the TB) from the y8 if you plan to reuse the y7 TB.

Yes. I forgot all about that. It's already attached to the TB though, so he won't have to mess with it.
