Default y7 engine swap question

need to swap my y7 out of my 97 hatch asap. putting another y7 in because im broke. just wondering if its easy enough to keep the tranny in the car or just take the tranny out with the engine. i tried searching with no luck. just want a simple answer. need this swap to go as fast as possible.

Its much easier to pull both as a unit.

yup i found that out on another forum.. only reason i wanted to know is because of the hydro clutch. i didnt want to have to bleed it. but i also found out i can unbolt the slave cylinder from the tranny and move it out of the way.
im used to cable tranny's.
thanks for the help.

Yep, the same thing goes for the power steering pump and A/C compressor, simply unbolt and tie up out of the way, no need to disconnect the lines.

I have a question. we did a y8 swap with a d15 tranny in a 93 eg hatch cx everythin is done correctly but the car doesn't go in any gear while started. but when turned off it goes in all gears. if we start thr car in1st gear or any gear it drives but doesn't want to come out of gwar unless u shut the car off. the d15 tranny is in well working condition. we have a brand new act 6 puck clutch with presure plate and through out bearing. like isaid the swap is done correctly but we didn't bleed the clutch. could that b the problem? if anything pm me with any info thanksz.

If you disconnected the line from the slave cylinder then yes, otherwise you screwed up installing your clutch somewhere.
