Default Y7 Block in my Ex D16Y8

I blew a rod in my y8 block. So my question is. Can I put a y7 block in my D16Y8??? I'm just using the block. I'm putting my Y8 head and everything else back on the Y7 block. Will I have any problems?? Idle wrong? Misfire? Help!!!

Same block minus the pistons and oil pan (steel vs aluminum) so it'll be fine. You'll also need to transfer the knock sensor over to the Y7 block (the threads are already there). If you wanted you could swap over the oil pan as well but it's not necessary.
