I just picked up a y7, and I am having my friend swap it into my 93 4dr eg. The motor is complete, I even got the harness, and ecu. So I want to see what exactly I need to do the swap? should I use the y7, or b7 harness? I understand that the y7 is odb2, so what computer can I use? I also have a z6 head, and p28 ecu that I plan on using for a mini me... I am not sure if I should try to swap in the y7 to make sure it runs first, or just go with the mini me since ill be able to use the stock harness, and an odb1 ecu
any help would be appreciated

Swap the Y7 to make sure everythings good mechanically before you minime. Use the harness and ECU from the engine that was in there if it is a DX/LX/CX engine plus the intake and exhaust manifolds from the D series engine that was in there. It would help to let us know what model and engine was in there before and I can help more specifically.

my car is a 93 lx so it came with a d15b7... If i am gonna just drop in the y7, I was just planning on swapping out the intake manifold, and dizzy, and using the harness with my car, but not sure what to do about the ecu... can I use my p06 that came with my d15b7?

I have a 94 del sol with a y8 inside an it cranks don't start I have everything plugged in except the crankshaft position sensor confused on where and what to do to get it started
