XTD clutcn on sohc
Has anyone tried a xtd con a sohc vtec motor non turbo,my clutch is goin out. It is a 16 year old clutch , I wanna get XTD clutch stage 3 since I hear good reviews about them, but most of the cars are turbo,I wanna get good accel response is 7.5 lb flywheel good ? Will it be hard to drive,I drive my sohc hard that's y I want a a strong clutch but not expensive like act since I plan on swapping or turbo'ing later in fall

i have the exact setup as you want (xtd stg 3 with a fidanza 7.5lb fw)
since i;ve never drove a manual, and put those on the second i swapped from auto, i cant tell you the difference vs oem clutch and fw
but i DD my setup miles a day and the driveability is very easy once you get used to a more sensitive clutch.
i suspect my MPG has went down though since i have a lighter flywheel
btw accel is awesome, i have a stock z6 and its like i unlocked the other half of my engine with a manual and the clutch and flywheel

Re: XTD clutcn on sohc
my mpg was less than what some people here say they get with sohc vtecs.
no CEL and replaced my o2 sensor, air/fuel filters, and spark plugs, i havent checked fuel pressure yet but i've come to believe my engine burns more gas because the lighter flywheel doesnt give as much rotational energy as a heavier one would (i would think that aids the engine)

I'm pretty sure light flywheels improve mpg because it takes less to turn the motor... I think I saw that discussion on here not too long ago.

It all depends on how you like to drive i drive rough so the stage 4 is perfect for me but i like it either all power or no power there isnt much room for play.
