wth shifter loose
ok this has been pi**ing me off from day one. when in first gear i am able to wiggle the shifter all the way to fifth gear. so in the early stages i was like simple Energy susspension shifter bushings installed those nothing. next was hasport shift linkage still the same thing. so then i replaced the short shifter with a new fidanza one with bearings and all that still nothing. did some more research found out it could be the bitch pin replaced that last night and still nothing now i am getting pissed. anybody have some insight.

OK, being that you have replaced the linkage, bushing and shifter i'm guessing you tighten the shifter to the linkage as tight as possible, right?
this will give a loose feeling if it's loose.
if this is already done, then there is something worse. it is usually caused by those cool people who drive with there hand on the shifter (i hope this isn't you). when cool people do this it wears out the shift forks inside the tranny giving the sloppy, loose feel.

Re: wth shifter loose (philosofy1)
god i hope not this is a faily fresh tranny with only ten thousand miles on it. So check to make sure it is tight, i am almost positive it is since this is not my first rodeo, but hell anything is possible.
