So... About 2 weeks ago, my 94 honda civic coupe drivers side door would not close. The latch will not open up at all. I opened up the door to look at the mechanics, and sure enough, the latch is bad.

For the mean time, I have the door tied to the head rest and have to enter through the passanger door. I took a hot babe out in this car; she never called back.

Anyways, should I find a latch from a junk yard, or are they inexpensive at Honda? Do I need a manual lock latch, or will an electric door latch work? I am assuming that 94-00 integra's work too, but I could be wrong.

I'v searched and came to the conclusion that this doesnt happen too often with honda's... So if this if anyone has any advice, let me know. Thanks

look to see if the rod fell off the latch. if it did put it back on. but if its bent get another one

I was in boston last friday. I took a turn onto mass ave when the twine holding my door shut somehow untied its self. The door flung open and almost hit the brand new mustang next to me. The owner of the mustang was quite upset. But yea, help me fix this...

oh, i think i need a whole new latch. I got frustrated and slammed it a few times.

If you can do you have any pics? I remember this happening with my dads old car from way back when. You might be able to fix this with a stick, pen, something like that. Peace!

i 2nd that.. happen to one of my old cars.. simple fix..

but.. i wouldnt open tha door after tha simple fix leave locked.. & go dukes of hazzard on it...
