Check your upper/lower rad hoses for pressure/heat. Is the lower hose getting hot/ or is your cooling fan coming on? you may have a bad thermostat that's stuck open.

It's a weird circumstance because every thermo problem I've seen until recently has been a "stuck closed" thermostat. But as I said recently my buddy bought a DA integra that would never reach operating temp, and when we pulled the thermostat out in was stuck open.

My EG had the same problem which plagued me for almost a year until my water pump started to weep (leak because it's going bad). Anyway, I could fill the radiator and the car would take me to work and back without running hot. This was my temporary solution until I could save money to do some work under the hood. So after a couple weeks of this, my heater started blowing HOT air. I guess I may have had a small clog somewhere in the system, probably the heater core, that I flushed out. So my advice to you, try some flushes before you get into any complicated or expensive work. Autozone has a few you can try which are cheap and easy to perform and are probably just over-all good for any cooling system.

Not to dis-respect but Honda cooling sytems don't neccesarilly have to be "flushed" unless the whole system is completed erroded from poor maintenance. I would say in your situation, the air was never completely bled from your sytem or you had a clogged radiator which was restricting flow through your cooling system.

Doubt it's an open thermostat.

At an open thermostat it will EVENTUALLY get hot. It will take a hell of a lot longer but by the time your temp needle is in the middle and not on "C" anymore it should be spewing hot air, not luke warm.

Stuck open thermostat just means it'll take longer to warm-up, it doesn't mean your heat isn't going to work or anything.

I'd say it's either:

A) Heating core
B) You're not in the car long enough for it to reach SOT (Standard Operating Temperature) therefore it's not warmed up completely yet and is not spewing hot air.

why does everyone think its an open thermstat??? All this will do is take longer to get to temp. if you're at operating temp then your heater core is PLENTY hot enough and your thermostat is OPEN ANYWAY!!! so you're all saying thats the problem?? it is NOT your thermostat! it seems like your blendoor might not be operating correctly.

I'm saying thermostat because my mom's car just had the exact same issue, I replaced the thermostat and now it blows hot air. When you sat it would warm up but as soon as you drive the temperature would lower.
