wtf was that
After a small night of driving i pull up to my friends house (and of course) im applying the brakes. i hear this HORRIBLE sound like metal wire scraping against my rotors. I take off my wheel and see what looks like the pad is just pressed against the rotor. I loosend my ebrake thinking that could be the problem. I noticed the tire DOES NOT spin freely when in the air and the e brake is down. The other side spun a lot easier.
I left my friends house and decided to go home. The HORRIBLE scraping noise continued for another few miles until, all of a sudden, it stopped.
Has anyone experienced this?

I also noted that on the problem side the pad is a lot more worn down than the non problem side. oh yes, i also did a rear disk conversion a while back.

I had that happen to me. Take out the pads and inspect them. Don't just look at the them because the one in the back is hard to see. Chances are that your pads wore a taper in it and is running into the backing plate. You won't hear it all the time because the pad only makes noise when the pad gets crooked in the caliper. Sometimes it will be straight and sometimes it will be crooked. If you start wearing a groove into your rotor and take too long to diagnose it, you may have to get new rotors.
