I currently have a D16Z6 in me Sol and I've been wanting to make it a manual because autos suck. But when I went to this shop here in town, they wanted like $1200 to buy the parts and install a cable style trans, and $1500 for the hydro. That sounds kind of expensive to me, but what I'm asking, is with the car I have, how much trouble and cost would putting a 1st gen B16A as far as additional parts goes? I think I read somewhere that I can use the radiator from the and things like that, but I'm not sure how much that would cost. If anyone knows or has done it before, your knowledge is needed.

well del sols do come with a b16a in them so it will go right in. i would get the whole b16a conversion in stead of just geting the manual trans because it won't cost that much more to get a whole swap it is like 3200 for a whole change over and that is hydro trans to and that is instaled

I think $1500-$1600 parts and labor should be about right for the hydro tranny swap much more and its a rip off. Parts should cost about $400 trans Used flywheel $50 $200 clutch oem $100 pedal assy. $300 ecu $50 trans adapter mount from Place Racing and assorted lines and brackets. So say $1050-1100 parts. (can be found for much less) rest labor and your set! Its not hard to do your self either.
