yep, pretty much everyone gets a rattle as far as i know on at least the civic coupes, it rattles on mine, cause it's too close...it's rubbing on the axle or gas tank or something, ionno, but that's the only downfall to WS imo, think there's a way to reduce the rattle, forgot though, anyone remember?

i had alot of rattle at the heat shield right at the gas tank area...and the muffler was hitting my sway bar bracket with beaks kit. ....
what i did was went to a muffler shop, got two 2 3/8 flanges and sandwiched those inbetween the piping and one at the muffler. after that....it was all good..no rattle, no leaks, no problem

if u guys lived in baltimore i could fix it for u. just go to a shop, like where i work, ask them to heat up the pipe and bent it alittle to give u some space. it shouldn't mess up the pipe or anything.

damn..i just made a post about this not too long ago. i got my ws and all i've had were problems with it hitting the gas tank. so...im taking it to the shop this friday so it can be re bent and stuff like that to make it fit. i tried everything and it still hits the tank...so i guess this is my last thing to do.

to fix my rattle, i just took off the right rear tire and did a little massaging to the fuel tank with a ball peen hammer. i also moved the hanger further away from the gas tank.
problem solved.

for another quick fix go to your local autoparts store and buy a universal exhaust hanger, the like donut type and just stick it in between were the pipe is hitting and the gas tank, u probably want to use some type of adhesive as it will eventually fall out, but i had to do this for my APEXi N1

Thats what I did with my Skunk2 exhaust, only cost $25 and was worth every penny not to hear it rattle anymore.

I went to quick-o and they added like 1 1/2 more inch to my N1 catback and it moved the position of it up a little more and got it off the gas tank..really this might be a dangerous problem.What if your on a road trip for several hours and that gas tanks gets heated up from your exhaust?

Welcome to the world of APEX'i exhaust. I have had 2 of them and both rattled. 3 main places:
1) Gas tank exhaust heat shields
2) Rear disc brake hard line
3) B series motor shifter

I have been hearing about this problem with the WS for the last two years. I had probs with my old Thermal R&D stealth exhaust except it hit the frame on the front side of the exhaust chanel instead of the gas tank... ended up trading it off for some HX rims and that guy took it to a shop and had them fix it for him
I think it has to do with different length cats being used on different civics... Apex and Thermal probably designed there systems to be used with a certain cat but that cat was maybe only used on a certain model... just a guess

take the peen end of a ball-peen hammer, and beat your gas tank flat on that side (at least that's what I did) You can move the hardline around a little bit, and it will quit rubbing too....
