i swear i've seen a thread on here about someone painting their SOHC valve cover and having it turn out almost exactly the same as the OEM paint on a Type R valve cover. anyone have the URL to that thread or to a FAQ somewhere?

just a suggestion: my friend just got his valve cover powdercoated and it looks amazing! if you got the cash (which i dont) id go for it! btw he has a s2000 and got it done flat black

like 75-100 bux. it takes like 3 days. he bought a used one and got it done then sold his stock one.

what kind of paint do u use to paint that? i know its high temperature, but how do u get the krinkliness?

when you paint it, just don't strip the old paint off. that wut keeps the wrinkles there when you paint it.

its not paint... Its powder coated.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts and they had wrinkle paint in black, i put three coats on 15 minutes apart and then waitied 8 hours to let it cure... Then i applied red paint and it looks just like a type r cover....
