Wreck and Rebirth. EK Squad, here I come ;)
I signed up for Honda-Tech just after I got my EK hatch early last year wanting to do a clean autocrossable daily. With the rest of the saved funds I bought a couple parts to get it going (wheels, Skunk 2 springs, fake CTR front lip, cluster w/tach) and a month later I wrecked it into the back of someone sitting at a green light in the flow of traffic after the truck blocking the view of said vehicle jumped into a gap between cars in a busy lane at the last possible second, almost striking said vehicle themselves. The person I hit drove off. Nightmare. I wasn't going to stop though because I had wanted a clean EK for a long time. If it wasn't for this community that is Honda-Tech, it would be in a junkyard.
Here's what it looked like a couple of weeks before the wreck.
Here it is the day after I got the lip on.
Here's what finally showed up the next day from the UK (Thanks again Johnny G for the hookup on both pair!!)
Got the mess off. Frame straight. Radiator and condenser busted, support bent. Cool.
After sourcing parts on here, some other websites, around town and obviously since I needed a new rad support, I decided that it would be worth my time to do a 99-00 front. I got very lucky on many parts. Fake headlights didn't last long... OEM bumper, passwordJDM fenders, Si grille from right here on HT
I found this mint hood down the street from my house. I literally walked to get it. Dude gave it up for $80. Don't mind the headlights lol.
We got the thing back on the road. Sorry for stinking up IA with this turd lol
Front end paint and another pair of Type R's from Johnny G!
Then it was time to get back on the ball. Let's do what I originally wanted to do. SKIIIIIIRRRRTTT!! ASR, Blox and Type R.
Here it is as of last week. Sorry for little pics! Cropped from other photos.
I'm waiting on my coilovers, my room mate to give up his Buddy Club seat when his Bride gets here, new lip, new wing, fresh *** paint job and come tax return time I'll be looking at swaps.
Again, thank you very much to everyone on here who helped me out. I'm fairly new to Hondas, only a couple years experience, but I love it. Like Jeremy Clarkson said on all too well on Top Gear, cars take on a persona. I love my EK.
Bye bye

No doubt. From what I understand it's a pretty painless thing to do on these cars.
You're right on that one. I don't really need them so bad that they can't come as a "finishing touch" though
