With that kind of money, build your own turbo kit. It would be a hell of a lot better than wasting it on cosmetic stuff. But to each there own.

So basically just get exhaust and rims and lower right now? Also they have a Greddy Exhaust System on Ebay for $135.00 and the regular price is $500. Should I go with the ebay one?

vtec controllers are overpriced and useless. not hating or anything as I'm a college student myself, but you're not gonna get far on a bill a week dude. your best bet is to save up a chunk of change and focus on one aspect at a time. also, I don't know where you're getting your prices from, but I hope you're not buying like ebay springs and **** lol

I know what your talking about, and that is NOT a Greddy exhaust. Its a cheap *** exhaust that is copied from the Greddy design... not recommended.

Exactly dude, you get what you pay for. Pay cheap, get cheap. Dude do some research and if you actually really indeed want to go fast with some good reliable parts save up then. There's so many different routes to go and do that it's really up to you where you wanna go and whats gonna benefit you and your car. First thing you need to do is read as many relevant posts you can about anything and everything and then when your done read some more. Read More Ask Less.

Dude. You make $110 a week... Spend it on something other than worthless or crappy mods on your car. Like others said before, save your money (if you really have to spend it on your car) and focus on buying higher quality parts for one area at a time. I'm not trying to put you down, it's just that I make considerably more than that and I still find it difficult at times to spend money on my car.

Header, Intake, Exhaust the easiest mods that can be done. And should be able to be done with a grand.

Ive seen this somewhere... Fast, Reliable, Cheap.
You can have two, but sacrifice the third.
It went something like that.

I'd say that's about right. You only get two and I personally will not sacrifice the reliability. I don't think it is to say that a shell is a bad idea. Just be prepared to spend a lot of money to get a good car as an end product. Projects are good things. They keep you busy for sure. Just be sure you know what you are getting in to. And good luck of course.

I would just keep the car stock. Save money. Then get an STi or a GTO. But if you wanna spend money, spend it wisely and do research on the stuff beforehand. Most stuff on ebay are copies and fakes. Ebay is highly unrecommended for mods that are worth buying. I wanted to do stuff to my car, but then i realized that it runs good, is cheap on gas and is reliable. Thats all i want and need. You can do what you want with your car, but keep in mind there is more to life than to upgrade you car that might get stolen or totalled someday.

STI huh... $33,000 car divided by $110 a week = 300 weeks (roughly 6 years). If he doesn't spend any money on anything else he's set! Maybe fixing up the Honda isn't such a bad idea.

Lol, says the guy with the GT4 Avatar.

Wow, you've either got some cheap prices on there or shatty parts. I'm gonna lean toward the latter.

$1000 should get you a nice set of rims, decent tires, and a decent pair of racing springs for your car. That's what I started with, and aside from my rim choice I'm glas I did.

And you're gonna find really fast that modifying cars correctly costs a whole lot of money. Go part by part, and always make sure you have a good idea of what you're buying before you spend the money on it. I didn't do that, ended up spending a whole summer washing dishes to buy my rims. I've gotten a much better job now and I'm also selling my rims, what a waste that was.

u guys ever heard of saving money over the years by driving a paid off car that doesnt guzzle gas? Im first year into college.....i could make enough money to make a down payment and then get a loan for that GTO when im done with college. Plus its about 25g for a 04.

a GTO? are you kidding? I would take my hatch over that car anyday. And why buy that car when you can have an awesome Honda for less money? And you have the pride in saying that you built your car, instead of being the idiot that saved his money to buy a GTO. (IMHO) to each his own.

and as for the original topic, dont buy anything that is EBAY BRAND, or Mugen Style, or anything "style". Not worth spending money on. If I had $1000 bucks, I would bank it, and save for a swap. my car+b18c1=new car

what order you should do your mods in depends on what you use the car for aswell. If you plan on AutoX, then suspension should be your first concern, if you want to drag race, then work on engine mods, etc.

ok fine...to be more realistic, i would upgrade the suspension and tires. That way, u can have a lot more fun going around corners and what not, and not breaking the law. I personally prefer a car that handles well rather than all out motor.

i dont know where you get your prices but did you ever think how much it costs in insurance only for an STI or GTO... and if your in college that is still pretty hard to afford.
