Default Wow...

So i have a 98 cx with a d16z6 obd 1. The check engine light has been on for awhile now and i finally got around to checking what it was heres the results: one short flash = o2 sensor, 2 long 1 short = vtec spool solenoid valve. 4 long 1 short = primary o2 sensor heater. 4 long 3 short = fuel supply.

questions.

Is it throwing the first o2 sensor code because the o2 heater is not working? Im not really sure what or where the o2 heater is.

What is the vtec spool solenoid valve? is that the vtec solenoid on the valve cover? What can I do to Fix it.

The last code just says "fuel supply". Could that be a clogged fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator? or injectors not working properly?

Any help will be great, pm me.

Thanks!!!

really lame title.

anyway,

save this link-

http://www.redpepperracing.com/technical/main.php

it's got some helms manuals with all the OE troubleshooting info you need. if you have a code, it'll give you the tree of troubleshooting to figure it out.

also-

02 heater is part of a 4 wire 02. it's got a positive wire and negative wire that toggle to heat it up fast so it read accurately when you start the car.

the vtec spool solenoid valve code is indeed the solenoid. if it's wired properly, then take it off and clean it with a solvent. you can also test it with the car not running by jumping 12V to it to see if it clicks.

fuel supply tree is in the helms manual.

the problem with a PM deal for this is that noone else will be able to see your steps taken to fix this. the title also, as mentioned, doesn't help things either. that title is not searchable and is useless.

something that is searchable and has something to do with the contents. what good is "wow" as a title if noone knows wtf is in the thread and those in the future can't search with similar problems.
