Would you pay $1400 for a 92 Si?
The car is a 92 Si red in color
274,000 miles on it, original engine, mtx and it still runs!
Small rust spots on both rear quaters, the paint is in OK condition.
The seats on the interior are sunfaded a little but its clean, and there is a small 4" tear in the carpet under the clutch pedal.
The Sunroof works but needs lubed.
<-- Kicks himself for not taking pics of it when i went to see it...
Trying to convince the wife that if I buy it and swap in a B20Z, Gsr tranny and other goodies it would bring the value of the car up to past $4k.
Do you guys think this is true? or am i just bullshitting her?

The rust spots are about 4 inches long and 2 inches wide, and only on the outer surface, the inner body panels are still good.
Thanks for the replies

The outter surface rust is actually starting on the inside. All kinds of **** sits on the lip where the bumper and QP meet. Clean that lip out real well, spray a good amount of under coating in there and then take care of the surface rust. Your rust is exactly like mine. Sounds like a good deal...I'd get it.

if the rust isn't too bad 'd go for it.. I paid $1400 for my 92 DX with a clear title and straight body, it jsut needs to be repainted.
I'm not a fan of Si's but you could make some money off of that thing if/when you turn around and sell it.

its up to you, if motor swap is the way u want to go, ofcourse, who cares how many miles on te original, just swap it, then u can go either N/a or turbo, but that price for an si is very good, i found some with 150k for 5000+, unbeliveable, i know
