Would you describe an eg hatch as "tossable"?
I am looking for a new project car and really like the way the 5th gen hatches look. I am wondering if you hatch owners consider the car tossable? I consider tossable to be precise and responsive handling with little body roll and light weight. A car that is easy to drive. Am I making any sense at all? I realize that some tuning to the suspension would be needed, but how fun are eg hatches to drive?
To be honest, I love driving my 1992 Toyota Tercel (don't laugh), but it has much to be desired in regards to acceleration and braking. Not to mention no after market support.
So, is an eg hatch what I am looking for, or is there something else I should consider.
BTW, a Mitia or similar will not work for me, as meager as they are in the eg's I still need the back seat.

Well, I had a CRX before, which handled great, but I like driving the EH hatch more. I do consider it tossable, but then again, I haven't driven that many rear wheel drive cars (like the Miata) to compare it to.

I dont think they are when stock, at least I wouldnt describe mine when it was stock as tossable. But after a couple bolt on suspension goodies and some decent tires and the car is pretty fun

This is pretty much an obsolete question. With the right suspension upgrades any car can be "tossable". The SI EG has pretty good handling stock.
With the right suspension upgrades 92-95 civics can be handling beasts.
