i'm running a sohc vtec civic with mostly bolt-ons on si wheels. i need all the help i can take and the Si wheels are too heavy for me. i've found some very nice sets of Hx and VX wheels. which would you choose. i'm leaning towards the Vx wheels.

Both are too small if you ask me. You will probably have a really hard time getting traction. Get some light 15s

Tons of people run HX wheels and 195/60-14 Azenis. Good budget solution.
Not many tires besides A032Rs that will fit VX wheels.

14's and Azenis. Nice and cheap. I had a tough time with 14's, but they look alright on civic's. Not a fan of huge rims here. Bigger fan of weight down. And as was mentioned earlier, 13's are basically limited to A032R's, which rock, but are costly (kind of) and are not the best for daily driving as far as rain traction and stuff. Not that Falkens are awesome in the rain, but they should out last the A032R's in mileage, but of course aren't as grippy either.
My vote is 14" + Azenis.

Azenis aren't bad in the rain. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Very true. It not as bad as some people make it sound. I drove through rain with my azenis for the last two weeks. Stupid rain and Seattle. Atleast it's sunny today.
