maybe, but it is really common for that to happen on a civic the AC causes parasitic drag. As far as the base goes try purchasing one of those power cap things, dont know exactly what they are called but when i was into having 300+ pounds of stereo in my car i had one worked great.

Well thats because all your power source revolves around energy. And that Potiential energy that gives you kientic energy is your battery, to much usage of the battery, replace it or relax on the electrial bill! Thats what i think is probably causing you to lose all that power, Lol thats my hypothesis for you.

i think a high output alternator would prevent my car from stalling, i did some research on a couple websites, and they said a capacitor isnt as good as getting a new alternator itself.... since my alternator is stock , that is the reason why my lights go dim at times and the car idles at 250 rpm's sometimes, nearly stalling out. correct me if im wrong?

I have seen many people get bigger lager more powerful alternators and expletive up all sorts of **** when there voltage regulator craps out on them and sends a power surge through your amps and all your electrical devices... or the obviouse....when you are not in motion turn down the bass
Also if capacitors werent any good then why would everyone who competes in car stereos use them? granted some are better than others, but everyone uses them get one try it and then post back
