would I need a new clutch?
i was just thinking about this
if for some reason I got 3000 dollars and bought a turbo kit
and made like
200 whp
would I need a new clutch?
right now im running a exedy stage 2 on my sohc.
I think its good for at least 70% over stock but im not shure.
if i did have money though id get a hypersingle

It's always good to upgrade to something over stock, especially when making double the power you made at stock. You don't want your clutch crapping out on you in less than 15k. If you track it, BETTER upgrade it.
Others running the Stage 2 might be able to chime in.

well hell yes your stock clutch can't hold that much power all of the time if you want cheap get a centerforce dual friction for 225 plus shipping or if you want to go extreme you will pay a little bit more like the 450 dollar price range but will hold quite a bit more but a little harder to drive, i used a centerforce and was very happy with it but probably at its max clamp so if you want i can hook you up let me know

Re: would I need a new clutch? (scratchy)
no $450 here
I can get you a six puck sprung clutch with a 2200lb pressure plate and both TOB and pilot bearing and an alignment tool for a whopping $275 bux shipped

that exedy clutch will hold up just fine.. when you say stage 2 though, are you talking the full face organic disc or are you talking about their 3 "puck" disc?
