Which would be better choise of pistons
About a month ago there was a perfect thread about this but i can't find it
In thirst of more power, i've decided to consentrate on this setup.
Car: .....99 EM1
Head: ....B16A2
Block: ....B18C (gsr)
If i go with pct (JDM B16B).... I would roughly get a 12.09 CR
If i get a B18c5 .... I would roughly get 11.41
if i use my pr3 i get 11.42 which is very close to what type y pistons are giving me.
If i use gsr pistons i get cr in 10.00 which would be too low.
What should my choice for better results.
This is my daily driver, roughly putting 50 miles daily, in and out of traffic.
If i'm missing something feel free to fill me in.
Thanks

Re: Which would be better choise of pistons (IM ALL BOB)
PCT (CTRs) all the way then.. lucky man we only get 91 here
Like would the car suck up more gas under regular driving conditions.
I mean i know higher CR engine will consume more gas but how bad would it be?

get the CTR's, by the looks of it you wont be going turbo so why not ge the highest possible CR with stock honda pistons as you can get.....
i think http://www.heeltoeauto.com sells it for $190 and other places for cheaper..
good luck

Re: Which would be better choise of pistons (sshaikh01)
I know this is a very difficult to answer question.
But just to get an rough idea, ball park figures.
What 1/4 mile times would the EM1 run would this with CRT pistons at 12.0.9 CR
If i go with the p30 jdm b16 what times should i expect at 11.6.5 CR
But just to get an rough idea, ball park figures.

well it all depends on what your trying to get out of the motor, if you plan on staying NA then go with the CTR piston for highest comp.
