Is it worth Sound deadening en EG hatch
Hopefully this is a simple question; Is it worth sound deadening EG hatch?
Basically;
Front doors: Dynamat + Seal both doors + foam behind speakers
Floors: New black carpet, new sound proofing underlay felt with Dynamat
Boot/Hatch lid: More Dynamat
Ignoring the actual cost of Dynamat or itself as a product, will this be worth it?
Will there be massive differences in both in cabin residual noise and also?
Or in other words, are EG's "too thin and metaly" and will they always be loud regardless?
Has anyone done this to an EG before? How were the results?
Thanks

im thinking about doing the same thing and have been looking into some sound dampner, there's this brand called (b-quiet) and it looks like it's the best bang for your buck, 50 sq-ft for 134.99...try buying 50 sq-ft of dynamat...hope you got deeeeeeeep pockets...
o yea and it's on ebay...check it out, and don't foam the corner panels behind the speakers, it's just a big nasty mess, get down and dirty and do it right, 50 sq-ft is plenty to mess around with...

Save your money. How about $30 for 25 sq ft of sound deadening insulation straight from Home Depot? Yeah, I've got your attention now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7eIF4cgFx4
I don't know how Dynamat can stay in business, unless their product is magic.

dynamat stays is business because people have deep pockets and want things that have been proven. just like everything else you get what you pay for,, dynamats works very well,
there are other types of sound deadening that arent as expensive as dynamat that are just as good.
