depends on the type of car you have.

It may save u a couple hundred possibly if you can find a tranny somewhere...

if not, go for the complete swap

You probably need the entire swap.
1) so many different wires and things
2) the long block wont just replace your existing motor, and have the same tranny..You will need just about everything. I'd go H22a, more HP, little cheaper, getting very popular, so parts are very accessable.

also most longblocks don't include distrubutors or alternators (pretty expensive pieces)

I'd only buy the longblock unless you had hookups for the missing pieces or have them lying around. Its just a pain sourcing out the parts you dont have.

IMO Id buy a complete swap from IAS... USDM

is that right? I always thought the longblocks come complete except for a tranny and axles....wow I guess you learn something new everyday!

Damn, I was planning on buying a GSR longblock and then an ITR tranny....

Might be true for some places but as for Hmotorsonline.com
a B18C1 longblock includes:

- Motor
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Injectors
- Fuel Rail
- Throttle body
- Alternator
- Distributor
for $1699.00

a pic for good measures

sorry if it sounds like im spamming for Hmotorsonline, I was just trying to make my point....

thats a good *** price, u can prob get a gsr trannies for like 400-500 bux, and then u can also redo your drivetrain with a better clutch and a lighter flywheel not to light tho
