is this worth it????
Ok its been a long time since i posted on here, Ive ben looking for another honda and i found one at a local dealership.... Its a very small one. They have a 2000 Dx hatch with a b18c1.. Carbon spoiler (spoon style) carbon hatch and carbon mirrors..... jdm foglights (yellow) .... The car was broke into and the climate control area is missing ... The whole thing .. It has a cel on and the driver side window is messed up... It is something to do with the regulator. Anyway the guy is selling it on the sie and wants 6k for it and thats after me telling him all thats wrong with it and i wanted him to bring it down Oh the chassis has 85k on it and the motor has about 45k on it... He has all the paper work for it .. So what do you guys think ... Is it worth it or not ??? Thanks in advance

with past experiences, be careful buying a car that has already been swapped.
think about this,
do you really want to jump into you don't know if it has problems or not?
its a gamble.
you choose.
and 6k is too much.

Re: is this worth it????
I wouldnt if it was me. a ek shell costs about 1,500 depending on condition, and a GSR swap from H-motors online cost about 4k - 4.5k after its all said and done (swap and other crap)
even with that,(4.5k + 1.5k) equals to 6k, but at least your getting a guaranteed motor, not something someone has raped over the years, throws a cel and dont want to fix it. if it was a cheap fix he would of just fixed it.

i wouldn't buy it simply bcuz you dont know what he has done to that motor. for all you know it might be breaking down on him and thats why he wants to get rid of it.
