check the fuses. my freind changed his starter and blew a fuse after only a minute of running. also, check to see that nothing has been disconnected. wires that go to the starter. something could have happned during that 30 seconds, something broke, clogged, dissconnected, came loose. check to see if the battery isn't dead, check to see if the starter motor needs more power.

I think some of you guys need to get your sight checked... he said the car will not turn over, not that it won't start. IE, he clicks the key into start, but the starter does not spin the motor over to get it started.
To the original poster, do you hear any clicks at all? Check all your wiring, check fuses, and if that's all good, tap on the starter a little with a ball peen hammer (don't break anything, just tap), then try it again. Also check your battery cables as I'm sure you probably disconnected them when you did the starter swap. Make sure everything's tight. Wiggle them around and turn them a little to make sure the connection is good, and give it another shot. Also, if you removed any ground straps while swapping out the starter, make sure you replaced them afterwards (not sure if the tranny ground strap is anywhere around there? never had to swap out starter so I'm not sure).
