Default Won't freak'n go into gear. Hard to shift

I have never really worked on transmissions, so I have NO idea what the hell is wrong in my situation - I'm having an extremely hard time going into gear. I literally have to force it into gear and its most difficult when I'm driving. At a stop, it can be difficult at times, but it isn't nearly as bad as when I'm moving. You can hear a grinding noise sometimes or metallic noise when I'm trying to force it into gear.

This is mainly happening when I'm trying to downshift from 5th to 4th, but in general its getting worse and worse.

B18c with a bone stock tranny and stock clutch/disc.

I've checked my hydraulic fluid, and its full.

Thanks,

greg

sounds like your tranny is dead, it was probably beaten before you put it in your car.. sucks

it worked fine for the last year, and I didn't beat on this tranny. I was actually easy on this tranny vs. my original D16z.

does the clutch pedal go all the way down if it doesnt bleed the system and if that doesnt work replace the slave cylander

could be the device that actually moves the gears inside the tranny.

Yeah I had that problem about a two weeks ago... I had to replace my clutch slave and the clutch master cylinder. It's good to replace both at the same time rather then choosing to only replace one.
