Wiring short?
Well, I been having problems with my EJ6 and everytime I turn my parking lights or headlights at night, my internal lights would blow out. Which I mean gauge cluster lights, climate control lights, and except for my radio. But I recently installed a tach and I doubt that is it because my internal lights has been working fine intill I removed my old alarm brain. But in my conclusion my internal light fuses keep blowing out, and I still dont know where the short is coming from? And I tried a 20amp fuse but it blew too. Any help would be gladly apprieciated thanks!

Where ever that short is, its after the fuse, and its pretty strong, since it can blow a 20 amp fuse. Just for a good reference, don't ever put a higher amp fuse in a fuse box, this will destroy the wiring since it can only handle so much, and can worsen the problem in a place that might be much harder to find. (in a wire bundle)
I would start by examining the areas in which you have spliced power from, this is most likely. Check your grounds for those items you have removed or installed, I would guess that one of them is grounding out.

Re: Wiring short? (slowcivic2k)
Oh I see. Thanks for the future refence. But do you think my short is because of my tach? Because I remebered I didnt properly connect all the wires right. Because the ground(black) & power(red) wire were to confusing for me to connect so I connected those wires to my battery. And the green wire is splice on the blue wire on my dizzy and the white wire is splice on the dimmer switch for the internal lights. And for the black and red wire I extended those wires with another black and red wire, I extended those wires so that it can run through my firewall and connect to my battery. And I wrapped electrical tape on the splice wire. So does this info help somemore? LOL thanks..
