what are the differences between the wiring looms of an EG4 1.5 non-vtec & an EG5 1.6 vtec?

i know the looms from the engine to the ECU are different(vtec wires), but are the looms that go to the dash(speedo, radio, heater controls etc) different?

maybe I have my info wrong... but I thought the EG4 was the VTi which came with the D15B/P08 combo which has VTEC.
And the EG5 was the DOHC ZC...
then again there is a lot of miss-information out there.

yeah, theres lost of wrong info about.

the EG5 has a D16Z6 SOHC VTEC. the EG4 had several different engines, in the UK it had a 1.5 SOHC VTEC-E & a 1.5 SOHC non-VTEC.

i want to put a better engine in an EG hatch, but what i want is very specific(colour & spec etc) so i have to look at the lesser models.

i have a wrecked EG5 that ive stripped for bits, i was just wondering if it was worth the haslle of getting the dash harness out, or wether its the same as the others.

The harnesses should be exactly the same if both cars had 4 fuel injectors. Check the ECU plug and see if you have the vtec prewired in already.
