Wiring harness > me... HELP!
Hey guys, I have a quick question for you swap gurus...
The car is a 98 EK with a B16A2 and Si harness/ecu... We have completed pretty much all of the work, but there are a few little things I need help with. I'm kinda retarded so bear with me.
OKAy, first problem... Where do these plugs go? The car has no PS or AC, possibly one of the plugs is for the AC?
Second problem... What is this pipe comming off the intake manifold for? duuur I know, its probably obvious... but help the stupid people!
Lats issue for now... On the Password CF intake, there is a little extra pluged hole l thing. What if anything goes here? I remember installing intakes before and never needing this, but what is it? It is NOT the vaccum line to the VC, it is another hole right next to that...
THANKS IN ADVANCE HT, the car is almost done...

Re: (Eran)
The black plug is for Intake Air Temp, and the other plug i believe is for the fan switch.
The thing on the intake is for the Intake air temp sensor.
The nipple behind the manifold is for the brake booster. Look toward the firewall for the hose.
By the way you said your car is a 98?? From what i know you cant use a 99-00 engine harness, you gotta use your stock 98 one and ADD plugs
hope this helps lemme know if you need help

Its a 98 with a 99-00 front end and dash/firewall convo... it was running on a built B18 for a while, the front end is essentially pulled directly off a 99 EM1... And the harness is pretty hacked up, but the guy who has been helping me wire it in his free time said it should work exactly like a factory USDM EM1... He knows his stuff pretty well, has done 5 or more swaps into EKs in the past, way more experienced at this kind of work than myself. I dunno know for sure tho, I will mention this to him...

And since I have no PS, the plug can just be taped off and not used?

we will be firing it up for the first time tomorrow morning... yes we have the ecu all squared away.
Basically I think I have my answers for now, lets see how it comes together tomorrow AM...

OKAY, one last question!
If I do no currently have an air temp sensor, will I pull a CEL? I'm trying to get to DEQ tomorrow, but I don't know if I can get this part before 1:00 PM on a Saturday!

Re: (HondaPartsHero)
It did not come with one... The engine was pulled from a 99 Si, but it had no intake box, and it was missing a few other random bolts and such...
I guess I have to get one from the dealer then?

What happened to the one from the 98? Is it still in there? You dont need to have the sensor mounted, just pluged in. Check the 98's harness and see if it happens to still be pluged into that harness.

BTW... maybe its early and I am not thinking straight....doesnt the si harness only have 2 plugs at the ecu? How is your dash harness hooked up if you are running this in a 98? did you switch the dash harness to an si?

You mean the IAT? Of course it won't trip a cel .... it's just telling your engine "hey, this air is warm ... hey this air is cold ... hey this air is juuuussstt riiighht."
That sensor is the goldilocks of air.
