wiring harness and ecu questions?
okay, so im getting ready to start getting my car together, and wanting to gather everything i can possibly need to get it done smoothly...
ive got a 94 civic ex, with the d16z6... im dropping in a y7 out of a 97 ej6
can i re use my factory harness? or do i need a different one...
also, will my ecu run this motor, or do i need a different one.
motor combo will be y7 bottom end, y7 head(possibly z6 from my old motor...
also, will my water pipe, black breather box, intake, header, pretty much will everything transfer over without complication?
this car is my dd, so id like to finish putting my motor together, pull the old, and get the new in within a weekend.
let me know
thanks

Re: wiring harness and ecu questions?
I believe everything will work out for you. If you use all the outside components such as intake manifold and such, you should be fine. I had a y7 in my 91 civic, and i just transferred all the outside components and it worked great.

Re: wiring harness and ecu questions?
okay thats some much needed good news, the last 2 weeks of my life have been ****...
got fired, heater hose blew up and cooked the motor in my fresh bought civic, and many other little things. life man... who would have thought.
but, hopefully all will be well with a fresh y7 build in my car
