wiring harness

i was wiring up my 97 ex harness to my GSR motor and noticed that the intake air temp sensor on my manifold is different than the clip on the harness can i just cut and spice the one off my GSR harness to make it work?? also where does the battery positive cable come from the started or the power distribution box?
