That is the back-up light switch. They go into the vehicle and back to the reverse lights. I'm not sure of the exact routing at this point and I can't check because I haven't seen my baby in a little over a month at this point..

that's not my picture... lol
anyway. i take it since both of those are green/black... they're pretty much the same wire. and all they need is a power source (so the reverse lights will light up)? and when i shift into reverse, that switch would be bypassed/active correct?

that plug is for the reverse lights. Trust me I had to wire up a car from scrath cause it was a fire recovered car and that goes to your back up lights. Get a voltmeter and check which one goes positive while shifter is in reverse. then wire it up to a relay and into your back up lights. Wire it up to the positive side so you wont short out the lights and relay. Do this by putting your voltmeter into continuity position and hook one lead to ground and with other check which wire will show continuity and then once you find it use the other wire to wire it up to the relay coming off the tranny wire. Thank me later.

Re: wiring experts (idriveadelsol7)
so... this picture below states:
the yellow wire and the green/black wire should be wired to those 2 (reverse switch). the thing is... the yellow 1 has constant power and the green/black one is what?
i'm thinking it's the reverse light also (hence the green/black)... but i don't know how the heck wiring these 2 (yellow / green|black) will relay power when i shift into reverse.
if that plug is A SWITCH... shifting into reverse will close the circuit and will relay power correct?
