Wiring for Daytime Running Lights

Wiring for Daytime Running Lights
I got a new set of headlights (Spyder Auto) for my '93 CX which have LED halos around the bulbs to act as DRLs. The included instructions said I should tap in to the feed for the parking lights, so when I turn those on, the halos come on too. But it seems like the halos should be on automatically whenever the car is running, or at least when the key is in the Run position. That's kinda the whole point, right? If I remember to turn on my parking lights, I don't even really need the halos at that point. =/
Anyway, anyone know how I would go about doing that? The LEDs are stamped 12V/0.5W on the housing, but even if that's per halo, 2W doesn't seem like much draw when I'm trying to start the car, right? It occurred to me that tapping in to the wire for the fuel pump might do exactly what I want, but I have no idea where to tap in to it, and it's in the opposite direction anyway, so it seems like there may be a better choice regardless.
I found this in the FAQ, but it seems to assume I already know what I'm doing, and mentions stuff I may not have, like a DRL resistor and relay. I don't know much about wiring, but I successfully replaced my disc horn with a pair of trumpets, so yeah, that's about where I'm at, skill-wise.

Re: Wiring for Daytime Running Lights
Is your car an USDM or CDM 93 CX. If I recall off the top of my head, only the CDM had daytime running lights standard. I was under the impression the USDM didn't have the circuitry natively.
If your car is USDM I don't believe it has the Daytime Running Light Control Unit.

Actually, my car is Canadian, yes. So does that mean this will be super easy to connect? I have a Helms, but I'm pretty sure it's US, so it wouldn't cover this stuff, right? Does anyone happen to have a copy of the appropriate instructions?

See this photo of the wiring diagram? https://plus.google.com/photos/11730...23142025683821
Connect your halos to the "Hot in ON" location. YEL/BLK, pin 12, connector C441. Or, you can use "Option Connector C". You'll need to install a 7.5A fuse in slot 16.
Given you a head start here, the rest you can figure out. Get out your service manual.
