Wiring a AEM UEGO Gauge...what to do about wiriing to ECU
So i just got a AEM Wideband 6 in 1 Air/Fuel Monitor....part number 30-4100....im putting it on a JDM B18C-R in a '96 Civic (EJ6).....but if i put the o2 sensor for the a/f gauge in the header, what will ECU read from then for its o2 sensor plug?
is there any way for me to wire the o2 wires from the ecu into the wires that are going to the a/f gauge? or vise versa....im going to use the new sensor that comes with the gauge obviously...i dont want a o2 CEL.....
can i use the green wire which is a output line (i believe) and run it into the main harness somehow?
thanks

Re: Wiring a AEM UEGO Gauge...what to do about wiriing to ECU
The aem uego has two output signals, narrowband(0-1v) and wideband(0-5v). The wideband signal is for the gauge, the narrowband can be wired to the ecu; however, you're ecu will still need to see an o2 sensor because of the other three wires, so you will still need to leave your o2 connected, and sitting on the side or something. You'll have to tap into the harness at the ecu, and wire the signal from the AEM into it.
If you are installing a wideband, you should be doing it for tuning reasons. If this is the case, your tuning software (hondata, uberdata, crome) should be able to disable your o2 sensor (since it would be running off a fuel basemap and wouldn't need an o2 signal to alter a/f ratio).
...that is how mine is.
