wiring 1-wire o2 to 4-wire?
does anyone know how to rewire a 1-wire o2 to a 4-wire o2? if it matters, its on an obd1 engine. my friend has a 93 cx with a 98 dx engine, and that's the last thing he needs to do before he can drive it.

I could be wrong but i dont think it is possible. The difference between the two o2 sensors is the 4 wire is heated and the 1 wire isnt. It might work if you connected the one wire to where green wire(signal) would connect on the harness. If your desperate pep boys has bosch universal o2 sensors without connectors for like 40 bucks. but they arent that reliable.

White wire on O2 sensor is signal wire. Green wire is Signal ground. Both black wires are the heater circuit wires, and though someone has said that the polarity matters, it doesn't or Honda would have made them different colors. One side goes to the heater circuit control, and the other goes to 12 volts switched power. The ECU grounds the heater circuit when it wants to turn it on.
Run O2 sensor signal (white) to D14
You can run the O2 sensor signal ground (green) to D22 (or any other good ground)
Run O2 sensor heater circuit control (black) to A6
You can run your O2 sensor heater circuit power (black) to A25/B1 (or any other good switched 12v source)
Run O2 sensor signal (white) to D14
You can run the O2 sensor signal ground (green) to D22 (or any other good ground)
Run O2 sensor heater circuit control (black) to A6
You can run your O2 sensor heater circuit power (black) to A25/B1 (or any other good switched 12v source)

ok thanks a lot for the info! now we're getting somewhere. wait, so i'm still a little hazy on the 2 black wires. so do i run one to a6, and one to a25 or b1? it doesn't matter which black wire goes where, does it? thanks again!!

as already stated, POLARITY of the black wires is not an issue, they are circuit wires...
