Wires Cut and Harness Disconnected Under the Hood
I just picked up a 98 Civic DX about 2 weeks ago. I keep finding new features ie. wires cut, holes drilled, and screws and bolts missing. I havn't found anything too major until now. I found this harness disconnected and some wires cut. I thought maybe this is for the air bag but my SRS light has never indicated a problem. I hooked the harness back up and started her up. No change in performance and no new indicator lights on my cluster. I have checked in my Haynes manual for information but didn't find anything. Any ideas on why it would be disconnected and the wires cut?
Harness is disconnected here. It's located just to the left of my drivers side headlight housing. The three wires that are cut are just below my pinky.
Here it is with the harness connected and the 3 wires are circled.

Yeah that looks like ac to me. I'm guessing that your hand is where the ac compressor is supposed to go. So don't worry about those, they're for the ac. I'm 87.5% sure

yeah, your compressor is on the block right under the power steering pump and tyhe condensor is next to the radiator. I noticed that you have the AC sticker on your core support, so the guy before you removed the AC. You should be fine, if you are worried about it tape them up
