wire on the map sensor is cut?
Ok i was fillin up the radiator today cus one of the clamps got loosed it spewed out, anyway i was looking at the sensor in exhuast manifold and noticed that the green wire was cut all the way and only part of the insulation was holding it.
So the question is, How would this be affecting my engine and why isnt the check engine light comin on? And if i really need to how should i go about fixing it?
I dont know if ordinary wire joining methods would hold up to the heat or not.

Use shrink tubing. First slide the shrink tubing to one side of the wires then sodder the 2 wires back together then slide the tubing back down over the soddered part and use a lighter to heat the tubing and it'll shrink/melt on to the wiring. Best method in my opinion.
