Default Wire colors

When they are wiring the cars interior and say they use a green w/ red strip wire to connect something. Will they use that same color coded wire someplace anywhere in the car? Is that where the silver bands start to come into play, that if they use that same color coded wire, they add 1 silver band, and so on and so on?

What silver band? Depending on what it is your trying to tap into it could go from the front of the car to the back. But know this, production is not going to stop just because they run out of wire. Sometimes what the manual tells you and what you see isnt the same, always double check your wiring.

Well what I mean is, Im trying to wire up some power fold mirors. There are 2 added wires on the passenger side - black and brown w/ white strip. Those 2 wires dont come back to my swtch. So I tried to follow them, and so far they seem to lead to the heater. So I was curious if they reuse the same color wires. If they do, that would explain things, if they dont, what are 2 wires coming from my heater ending up attached to my passenger side mirror?

Like i said they will use other colors to make up production. Colors dont mean anything (excpet for black, yel/blk, and red/blk those are universal to stay those colors in honda and other cars). You have to trace the wires and find where they go.

Cool. Had to pull the door off the car and see that those 2 wires in mention, were dead ends. Guess the harness that they were using on that side, turned out to be the harness for the defogger option.
