Default Wiper stalk problem

96 civic ex

Just happened when I went to push in the wiper stalk to spray the windshield it gets stuck and makes a hard click noise. Also it will not go down to mist (one quick swipe).

Did the stalk break?

How hard is it to replace?

or other issue?

It easy to replace. You should be able to get the whole unit from Majestic Honda or other store for around $65

Anyone know if the 99-00 have varible intermittent wipers, instead of just one speed like 96-98's?

Look carefully. The diagram I posted also shows how to remove and replace the wiper switch.
