Default windshield wiper question

hey guys, i have a 93 civic si hatchback and just recently i noticed that the highest speed for my wipers does not work, as well as when i push the arm down just to get one wipe. anyways my question is, does anyone kno wat part i would dhave to replace to get my wipers to work on the highest speed? to i just need to replace tha arm on the steering column or do i need the whole assembly?
thanx for takin the time to read my post and any input is greatly appreciated.

thanx

you would just have to replace the wiper arm and the part the arm connects to...ive seen a couple on here and on ebay before for like 10 bucks

mine has been having difficulty lately, too. When I turn it off sometimes in the middle of a sweep, it'll just stop. And, forget about the washer function...whenever I use the washers, my radar detector goes off for "Laser".

so do u guys thing replacing the control arm on the steering wheel will fix my problem? or could it be the wiper motor itself? and if it could be/is.....are wiper motors expensive/easy to find/easy/easy to replace without goin to a professional?

thanx for any input.

not sure if it would be difficult or cost a lot to have the motor replaced...but i'd go with replacing the wiper control first since it's cheaper...try a junkyard to find a wiper control for cheap then slap it onto your car, and see if it solves the problem...

if not, then you can mark that off as being the problem, and try the wiper motor next
