i know it's been ask many times but just help me out...it's a 97 civic ex driver side window that's broken..not really sure what's the cause but it won't let me close all the way up and whenever i try it'll make a loud thumping noise while bouncing up and down, but it could still go down all the way w/ no problem..could this be the window regulator or is something loose...right i'm using a (very ghetto technique) wooden stick to push it back up from inside the door panels to keep it from falling and rain from entering...

check inside of it if something loose or broken.....

Take off the door panel and take a look. this type of problem is not a complicated one. U just have to look first.

hey i had the same problem your window arm has little teeth on it that rides on the wheel with teeth on it on the motor eather the teeh on the motor broke or the teeh on the arm are broken take the door panel off look down into the windo when the window it all the way down and u should be able to see this gear with the arm conected im talking about and your problem resides in there some where
