Window weld mtr mount questions please help
I have read other posts about doing window weld motor mounts but they still don't really answer my questions:
Who has done it and how is your experience with it?
Did you or should you cut/burn the rubber out and use only window weld?
How long did it take to dry and what brand did you use?
any help is appreciated thanks!!

Yeah thats what hes talking about. Do not remove the factory stuff that is in there just clean it with some brakeclean and maybe scuff it up with a file, thats how i did mine.
The brand that you want to use is 3M...There is a few different grades, I cant remember the one that I used but the **** hardened to some where near concrete and the core of the great planet Megatron..
I personally would love to trade them out for something softer. I must be getting to old to like the rattle trap that my car has turned into.

With the prices of actual after-market inserts being as low as they are, I would suggest simply buying a set and saving yourself the effort and any potential problems.

Just keep in mind that after-market inserts are designed to fit into your existing mounts, so you won't be able to use them once you do the DIY method.
