Default Window Track Question (Manual to Power Window Swap)

i have a 2000 dx with a power window set up, and i think my window track is broken or to messed up (Will take pics) but if it is broken will a window track off a manual window set up off another dx work? or do i have to get a window track off a power window set up?

if its not the window track, what else could it be?

you got me but you can buy the regulator (what you are probably calling a track) is less than $40 new, check http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and cross reference the part #s if you have to...

well what is your problem? it doesnt roll up? falls out of track? or what?

if youre referring to the things that hold the actually windown in place then ita a track (well i call it that) and yes manuel and power are the same if youre referring to the "tracks".

All the window tracks (if you're talking about the black rubber trim along the outside of the window) are the same between models. All the doors, trims, screw and bolt hole locations are the same. Differences are just the manual and power accessories.

i think hes talking about the siccsor part at the base of the glass that holds the window and makes it go up and down.

If he's referring to the regulator that holds up the window, then he would have to buy a power one from an EX.

Not to threadjack, but I'm having sort of the same problem keeping my window on track (95 EJ1). I was wondering whether it was the regulator or the motor I would have to buy to fix it, because the motor sounds weak upon putting the window up, and I don't know if the problem is that the motor is too weak to put it up on track, or whether something is out of alignment. The rubber tracks were replaced buy the previous owner, as he said he had the same problem, but the one closest to the rear of the car has a horizontal slit in it, so I might replace it anyway. Anyone's .02 is appreciated.

Also, in case anyone was wondering, I've taken the door apart numerous times and put it back on track, but it continues to come off track the second I put the window down.

You need to pull the door panel off, bring it down to the point it is coming off track to see exactly what is happening. Used to have the problem and I saw it was the bolt that holds the window on the regulator (it was sliding). I used a bolt of the same size that had a washer with larger surface area to hold on to the regulator. Never had the issue again.

Doubt the motor has anything to do with it coming off track.
