Window Tint.
Does anyone know how to remove window tint. My **** turned "urple". How do you remove it from the rear hatch without damaging the defrosting strips/whatever they are called.

Damn i had to remove my tints when i brought my car they where all bubbled and off color purple. It took me 2 days in HOT Blazing SUN just to take off the 2 front. The rest of it was baked on, seems like they put it like 5 years ago and it just baked.
I tried tint remover, vinegar, a box of blades and still could remove the rear window. Had to pay a pro to take it off and they stipped all the defrosting strips. Oh well it's off and now i have pro. tints installed. And it only took them 8+ hours and about $250 or so.
Im not sure they can remove the tint w/o messing the those stips.

Re: (uneek360)
I was able to peel my tint off no problem. Used a straight edge razor blade to start it somewhere by a corner...took the heat gun and set it to 600 degrees and just slowly peeled back and kept tightening my grip close to the window the more the tint came off. Then there was the annoying residue...I used plastic parts stripped on a soft cotton cloth and wiped the living **** out of the residue. It balled up into little tiny rubbery things and then I sucked those up with a vacuum. Voila, no more tint and defrost strips were fine.
