Window Regulator/motor problem
So my lovely baby Civic EX has decided to kill off both of the window motors that she has. Can't roll the window down and expect it to go back up right away. I pulled the paneling off and listened and it's definitely the motor since there is no grinding of the teeth on the regulator.
I got a quote from NAPA on re-manufactured motors. $162 for both of them being rebuilds.
I would rather buy brand new ones WITH regulators to cut my work time down to taking the motor off the regulator and getting it back in. It's a pain in the butt as it is to get it back in alone.
I also want to avoide Cardone motors, since I've heard bad things about them both online and from my dad who's a mechanic.
Anyone know where I can get the MOTOR AND REGULATOR for my ride? I'd like it to be reliable, and am part picky and won't spend money on cheap crao that will just die in a couple months.
So if that makes any sense. Anyone buy this combo before? Or if worst comes to worst I'll just get new motors and keep my regulators I have no.
Thanks much, y'all.

Re: Window Regulator/motor problem
Granted I have never replaced a civic window regulator/motor, but I have replaced a lot of them on other cars. Usually the window motor & regulator come together from the dealer. The only car that I did that came separate that I can remember changing was on some Korean car ( I forget which one ).
Usually something like this.

I would rather use a reman part than an OEM style part. It's usually a Genuine Honda part with new replacement parts.

Honda doesnt carry them as a set i already asked for a freind. Were just gonna get ebay regulator. Cheap and if it breaks again then we will just get another or see if it has warrenty. $50 is a good deal for it

Re: Window Regulator/motor problem
So my car hates me (which I already knew). Long story short. I took my paneling off on my driver side, looked and listened and put it back together knowing that new motors with regulators would eventually come.
However, because my car is a smart ***, the windows are fine with no lag. So I'm getting annoyed with her. -__-
So for now I'll keep my attention to the crap going on under my hood and tires.
