Default Window Problem... any ideas?

Well i just put an ITR b18 in my Sol.. well so far the only problem im running into are my windows. All three worked fine before the swap, but now none of them are working. It started with the gauge cluster and the windows. I found a melted wire on the back of the fuse box along with a burnt fuse on the front. Well at first i tryed just tapping up the wire hoping it would fix the problem, well i put in a fuse and turned the key. Well both the cluster and my windows started working, but about 3min. later the fuse blows and wouldnt take another one without blowing. Well i cut the wire on both sides(at the fuse box and where it runs to in the engine bay, on the drivers side to the engine harness connecter) and i put in a new wire, well after i did that the gauge cluster started working . but the windows where not. And i could take the wire completely lose and the cluster still worked.. any ideas on why my windows arent working?
