Wilwood Brakes and 15" wheels
i'm looking at the 12.2" big brake kit from Wilwood and i already know my 15" slipstreams won't clear the caliper as they are right now. i talked to a couple people on here that had 15" slips with Wilwood brakes and found out how to make it work.
H&R 5mm spacers - $55.00
Skunk2 extended wheel studs - $80.00
Open-end lug nuts - $80.00
Wilwood Brakes and pads - $639.00
Total - $854 plus tax and shipping
*EDIT* these are prices i got off a couple websites, so the total price could possibly be a little bit cheaper.
then i gave Precision Brakes as call, and they said they make customs brackets for Wilwood brakes that will get them to fit under 15" wheels. they do this for autocrossers and roadracers who like to use "smaller" wheels.
i can get the whole kit for $999.00 plus $43.59 shipping.
do you think i should just go with Precision Brakes, or save a little bit of money and buy the spacers, extended wheel studs and lugs.
i want better brakes because i auto-x, i have a swap and i'm already in Street Mod.
plus i want to add a little bit of 'bling' to my hatch.

I like the relocation kit better.
Extended studs and spacers aren't my thing. Also, tire to fender clearance becomes an issue.

Re: Wilwood Brakes and 15" wheels (Spade)
tire clearance might become an issue, i already having rubbing issues with my azenis on 15" c8's. if I put my wheel any further out i would rub on every turn probably.

yeah, fender clearance is a good point. my tires rub now when autocrossing. not much, but 5mm spacers might make it a lot worse.

It's nice to get an outside view to help you see something you might miss isn't it

here is the setup i'd go with. With the weight of your car i doubt you need a 12.2" setup.

Avoid the spacers if you can. I'll be running 1" spacers after I do my brake swap (I want to keep my HX rims a bit longer). From what I hear this isn't a good idea, and you should check the lugs every couple days if possible.

Re: (Btown_99Si)
That's my boy's old car before it got stolen. Notice how little clearance there is for rotors and calipers. I know for a fact that slipstreams have less caliper clearance than those si wheels did, and I would love to see 12.2" rotors and 4 piston calipers fit under 15" rotas.
edit- he got the 11" wilwood kit from fastbrakes.com.
