Default willing to pay!

I am willing to pay someone a lil bit if they will come help with my swap. The wiring is killing me. It is an OBD I motor into a 97 civic ex. I am using the ex harness and there are lots of plugs that dont plug up at all, and some that i have found are just different. I am lost on the alternator plug cuz all of the wires are different colors. Can anyone help with this? Also, the distributor. I only had one plug on my old car and there are 2 on the new motor, what do i do about this? Someone please help, i have a migrane from all this.

ha ha I am in new orleans, so cant really help you.

I always thought of a honda/acura tech line with a 99cent per minute fee for anything that you would want to know.

Well, I can't come down there and help you out, but if you can clearly explain your wiring issues, I would be glad to try and help you out online here. Maybe some pictures too, if you have access to a DigiCam?

since the cahssis and wire harness is a OBD2, you are going to have to get OBD2 injectors, dist and a OBD1 ecu with jumper.

the plugs are different.

I switched the injector plugs and kept the obd I injectors. What i cant figure out is the distributor and alternator. The alternator plugs are different, and the wires are all different colors. The distributor on the ex only had one plug, and the one on the b16 has 2. not sure what to do there either.

EDIT: this is BigZ88 on friends name

You have 2 options.

1. Get the plugs off of an obd1 harness
2. Get OBD2 distributor and alternator

they will bolt up and plug in 100%. You'll have a few sensors left over like the knock sensor and CKF plug because the OBD1 motors do not have them. I would personally get the alternator and distirbutor off of a 99-00 Si or a 96+ GSR. They should be under $200 for the both of them. Probably more like $150.

If you have any other questions, ask.

you might not be able to swap alternator's cuz the bracket's might be different...are the plugs different on the alternators....the green plug....like on my swap my wiring harness had a cut plug so I tried using my dx alternator that had a big circle plug but the bracket on the integ motor was too short so I put the integ alternator back on and went to the junkyard and cut off a smaller square green plug and wired it up....does the b16 alternator take a big circle plug or square one?

You have a digital camera? Maybe if you post pics of what you have and what you need, some people can help.

i'll see what i can do tonight about that. Randy at IAS said he is going to ship me a distributor with only one plug, so that should take care of that, just gotta figure out the alternator now.

for the distributor plug, you might actually be able to take the plug itself off your old distributor, and repin the OBD1 distributor to use the OBD2 plug. Take the two plugs that are on the OBD1 distributor off, but leave the pins and stuff intact (don't cut the plug, take the wires out of it!), then, swap the OBD2 plug onto the OBD1 distributor. you know what I mean?
