Will a Z6 head work on a vtec-e motor?

Icon2 Will a Z6 head work on a vtec-e motor?

ran across a good deal on a vtec-e motor but doesnt have a head, so my ? is will a z6 head work? all the help is needed..thanxs

Yes it will work. It came with originaly with a 2 stage vtec head but it was more for gas mileage. the z6 head will bolt right up.

yes it will work and when you do it id purchase the head gasked for a 99 civic ex. guarantees it to be metal gasket and not that pressed paper junk. and of course get head resurfaced to ensure a good proper seal so youre not doin a gasket again in a month. hope this helps

which vtec-e z1 or y5 i know that z6 head on z1 drops comp to like 8:1

if your block is a y5 then yeah it will work my buddy had a z6 on his y5 block and it was pretty quick

Yep, this is important. If you put a Z6 head on a Z1 it will be slower that it was stock.

if it is a z1 block will it be good for boost cause the low comp?

It would literally have to be boosted to get out of its own way. Its really a poor candidate, way better idea would be a complete Z6 built for boost, even a stock Z6 would be a way better idea.
