Will a type R exhaust bolt up to an other wise stock EG coupe? Nope
So my wifes coupe's exhaust started to rust and get an exhaust leak. I searched Honda-tech for the answer to the question in topic here. I found about 30 threads and all people had to say was search and a bunch of other misinformation. Well, I just spent the last 4 hours screwing around with 12 year old rusty bolts and generally having a bad time.
The ITR exhaust mid pipe is about 2" shorter than the coupe exhaust. It hits the body at the first big turn. Maybe the integra cat is longer? I dunno.
As for the exhaust, it's about 4" shorter at the tip. It would have fit OK if the mid pipe was the right length although it wouldn't have been perfect.
So, is the integra cat about 2" longer than the civic cat? If so, I'm totally keeping this ITR catback because it's perfect for my wife.
Anyway, Boo to bad info and the lack of follow up.

Take it to a muffler shop and spend the $20-$40 to have it put on. They'll cut what they need to, weld a new flange and bolt it up.

Why would you need a flange? Everything bolts up. It's just too short. Damnit. That's what I'm talking about.

If you don't want it to be removable like I do with my hybrid oe exhaust, then sure, you could have it just welded on.
lengthened shortened, w/e the muffler shop can take care of that with no problem.

you shouldn't have a problem
92-95 civic hatchback and coupes use the same mid-pipe, the only difference is the muffler tip is longer on the coupes
i used a 98 spec jdm itr midpipe on my 95 civic hatch before, with integra ls header and omnipower adjustable test pipe using 2/3 sections
use a shorter cat/test pipe and jdm itr mipipe w/ any db8 or 92-95 coupe rear section and you'll be fine

Dude. The car has a the OEM D16Z6 with the stock cat and stock header. Maybe if I swapped in a b-series and used an LS header it might work. I don't know.
The point is, I know for a fact that the midpipe is too short with a stock coupe.
Oh, the coupe exhaust pipe would not fit too well at the doughnut joint since the ITR doughnut is about 1/4" larger. It may work, but it won't be ideal.
